Sweaty's Winter Warmers Event

Winter Activity Programme for Young Girls

Five Towns Ju Jitsu have partnered with the Sweaty Betty Foundation to hold a diverse 10-week programme of recreational events to support young girls in getting active.

The Sweaty Betty Foundation is a registered charity and it’s their mission to support girls aged 10-18 to try new activities at school, at home and within their local community. They are providing funding for girl-led physical activities that will run over the winter of 2022.

At Five Towns Ju Jitsu, we are passionate about encouraging children and young adults to engage in new hobbies, get active, keep fit and grow their self-confidence. We believe that martial arts are a great way to achieve these goals, which is why we made a pitch to a panel of investors at Sweaty Betty; a pitch we are pleased to announce was very successful!

The programme will cover the costs of equipment, travel, food, venues, activity and insurance costs. These activities are fully funded and you can sign up to the programme FREE OF CHARGE. We simply encourage you engage in all activities to the best of your ability.

Our 10-week course will programme will commence on 13th January 2023 and includes the following activities:

Week 1 - Boxercise

Week 2 - Circuits

Week 3 - Les Mills Introduction

Week 4 - Self Defence

Weeks 5 & 6 - Swimming

Week 7 - Horse Riding

Week 8 - Grappling & Groundwork

Week 9 - Olympic Weight Lifting

Week 10 - Ju Jitsu Introduction

Wherever possible, activities will be held at our club but some travel may be required. When required, the Sweaty Betty Foundation will cover travel costs.
